A Little About Me

I am Burak, based in Stockholm, where I work with individuals and leaders who wish to explore a deeper connection to themselves and the world around them. My path has crossed many worlds, from leading teams in the business to holding spaces for self-inquiry and embodied awareness.

What draws me to this work is an interest into what happens when the effort to be different softens and we meet ourselves as we are. Most of what keeps us from feeling life fully is not a lack of sensitivity, but the noise of thoughts guarding us from what is here. When the wish to fix quiets and our defences ease, something deeper begins to emerge, and a quiet intelligence begins to move through the body, revealing the wholeness that was never lost.

This is the ground of my work; a practice of sensing and trusting what becomes visible when we stop interfering. It is not about improving, but about allowing what is already alive to be felt, seen, and welcomed without resistance.

From that seeing, life starts to organize itself naturally. In that simplicity, what we call healing or change is not something we do, but something that happens on its own.

Along the way, I have been learning and practicing through many forms: through the body, through direct experience, and with teachers from different traditions. My work is rooted in both experiential and academic study, weaving together embodiment, coaching, psychology, somatic practices, and systemic awareness.

Over the past decade, I have engaged in more than a thousand hours of training focused on cultivating presence, relational depth, and self-leadership. I have also led kirtan, meditation, and yoga sessions, led and assisted body-oriented workshops, and coached clients in over 150 one-to-one sessions.

Besides working with others, I have also been looking inward, exploring my own patterns of attachment, codependency, control, and learning to relate to them with compassion. This has included 12-step work, therapy, coaching, and hundreds of workshops and embodied practices that continue to shape how I show up today—not as someone who has figured it all out, but as someone whose journey is ongoing, and whose way of sitting with others is shaped by it.

My academic background bridges sustainability, systems thinking and design thinking as foundations and continues to inform how I understand human behaviour.

What led me to my work with Embodied has evolved in parallel with a diverse professional journey across business, design, and human development. Over the past fifteen years, I have been working across industries and disciplines — from global organizations to design studios and large consultancies— leading marketing and business teams, shaping design strategy, and supporting leadership, group, and organizational development.

In my current role at a global organization, I work with leaders and teams to strengthen collaboration, clarity, and shared purpose through a blend of research, strategy, facilitation, and coaching. You can find a detailed view of my professional background on LinkedIn.

Through these experiences, I have been learning how real change happens not through more control, but through connection, when people feel safe to listen, question, and become as intimate as possible with what truly matters. I have seen how clarity and relationships grow when we slow down enough to really meet what is here, and how systems begin to shift when individuals reconnect to their own sense of agency and resourcefulness.

These learnings live at the heart of my work where I bring the same blend of sensitivity and spaciousness into one to one sessions with my clients.
